The 29th Scientific Meeting of the International Society of Hypertension (ISH2022 KYOTO) ended successfully on October 16 2022!

With a five-day program and several social events, ISH2022 KYOTO was held at the International Conference Center Kyoto from October 12th to 16th, 2022.

Since the start of the bidding process in 2015, we have been working with the local organizing committee and discussed plans to best hold a successful meeting in Kyoto.

However, when Kyoto was chosen in 2016 to host the ISH2022 meeting, no one could have imagined that the world would face such great challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We struggled to find a way to organize the meeting with on-site participants from all over the world for quite a long time, taking into account the very worst scenarios.

In the end, however, we had welcomed more than 1,500 attendees, of which over 400 were international participants, and the honor of having Their Imperial Highnesses Crown Price and Crown Princess Akishino in attendance at the Opening Ceremony. During those 5 days, we saw many happy faces, were able to shake hands and come together to celebrate a reunion; experiencing the thrill of international conferences after 2020.
